They are closed for good :( This was really good pizza. The crust is crispy but not so thin that it crumbles, just right. The topping are flavorful and generously applied. (In case you have leftovers it is yummy cold too
I went there for a birthday party and was completely impressed by their pizza. The sauce was perfect and the crust wasn't too thin or too thick. Plus the sausage was cooked perfectly!! Believe me I have gone back plenty times since that birthday party and still have not been disappointed.
The other reviews were pretty dead on. Is definitely the best southside pizza in the area. Something straight from Bridgeport. Haven't tried anything else YET, but I'll definitely be back. Love the new place with the bar!
I don't even live in the South Suburbs anymore, I'm surrounded my the mundane pizza places, and chain like- create your own Hipster pizza joints popping up every few months. I will gladly travel 20 minutes for a Bennie's Pizza that tastes like it came straight out of Bridgeport when I was a kid ! We've had almost everything on the menu at this point, but we can't seem to pass up a pizza, their stellar wings, and the Linguini With Clam Sauce is TO DIE FOR ! I'm gluten free, so they've even offered me GF spaghetti to substitute ! Wings come breaded or NAKED, and they also offer a GF pizza crust ! I loved them 7 year ago, and used to just head to their old location to pick up a pie, I'm so glad they have an awesome bar and restaurant now we often head to hangout and watch Football games ! If you want old school Chicago pizza with the freshest ingredients on the planet, look no further !!!
The pizza is real good, the service was great, very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back, they have excellent specials; if you're a beer drinker, dollar drafts on Tuesdays, half priced pizza on Mondays. I was told they have bands that come in and they will have an outside area when the weather warms up. I believe this newer place/location will do very well, and I plan on returning for sure. Thanks for the hospitality!

Im a regular at Bennies and enjoy them each time but tonight's za was perhaps the best pizza I have had in my life. My well-done sausage was cooked perfectly and the crust was like a crispy cracker, the crispiest Bennie has ever done it, and holy sh*t it was so damn good. Also, got this on a Monday which means 1/2 price pizza. Less than 8 bones for a medium sausage...what a deal! *this place has some fantastic wings too btw
